Gyokuro Japanese Asahi
1 Review(s)Its name means "Jade Dew", it is called the finest Japanese green tea and one of the most valued for its high quality.
Particularly, it is also known as "Shade Tea" since, approximately 20 days before its collection, the plants are covered to protect it from the sun, thanks to that, the plant develops more chlorophyll on those days, which gives it a color to the characteristic emerald green leaves, it gives them more freshness, being also more tender and aromatic with a higher concentration of theine.
Its infusion, of a light green color, and a tasty sweet flavor make this tea a true taste pleasure with notes of chlorophyll and seaweed. You can re-infuse it up to 3 times by slightly increasing the time.
2 gr/cup 1-3 min 70ºC

Gyokuro tea is considered a luxury tea and is consumed on special occasions. Due to its delicate cultivation and production process, as well as its unique flavor and characteristics, Gyokuro is valued as one of the most prestigious green teas in Japan.
The preparation of Gyokuro tea is also unique. A smaller amount of tea leaves is used relative to the amount of water, and a lower water temperature is used during infusion. This allows the most subtle and delicate flavors to be extracted from the tea. The infusion time is usually short, between one and three minutes, to obtain optimal flavor.
It can be re-infused, you can even try its leaves by adding them to your salad once you have enjoyed the infusions, you can also dress them with a little soy sauce. Test it!

Gracias!
