KUKICHA Tea, also called Branch Tea, is known as winter tea. Unlike other green teas, it is made by mixing parts of the plant such as stems and twigs. This gives it a unique flavor and aroma, by including parts of the plant that are excluded in other mixtures, it also gives it a higher concentration of minerals and less theine.

It offers you an infusion with a delicate herbal flavor, something spicy, fine and fragrant. It reminds some people of its nutty flavor, with a certain sweetness. It is a variety that accepts re-infusion up to 3 times, extending the time by a few seconds. Be careful! If you leave it for too long it can become bitter like all green teas, and of course, you can drink it both hot and cold. You choose!

Kukicha Tea, also known as "twig tea" is a type of Japanese green tea that is characterized by being composed mainly of stems and twigs of the Camellia sinensis tea plant. Unlike other green teas that are made from the leaves of the plant, Kukicha is distinguished by its unique appearance and smooth, comforting flavor.

The twigs and stems used in Kukicha tea come from various parts of the tea plant, such as the youngest branches and thin stems. These parts of the plant often contain less theine than the leaves, making Kukicha a popular choice for those looking for a tea alternative with fewer stimulants.

The visual appearance of Kukicha tea is distinctive. The twigs and stems are light brown and can be of different lengths and shapes. It is often mixed with some small, fine leaves to add more flavor and aroma to the tea.

In terms of flavor, Kukicha tea is smooth, light and delicate. It has vegetal and herbaceous notes, with a slightly sweet touch and a hint of hazelnuts. By not containing many leaves, Kukicha can have less astringency compared to other green teas, making it pleasantly smooth and easy to drink.

Kukicha tea is prized for its calming nature and its ability to provide a feeling of relaxation. Due to its low theine content, it can be enjoyed at any time of the day, even at night, without interfering with sleep.
